Newly Created Project in Portfolios Is Missing from the Projects List in P6 EPPM (Doc ID 2996299.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When a new project is added in Portfolios in P6 Web, it cannot be found in P6 Professional.  Without a Portfolio selected, the project can be seen. But when selecting the newly configured Portfolio, that project doesn't appear because the portfolio doesn't refresh automatically.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The newly created Project in Portfolios should appear in the Portfolios list in both P6 Web and P6 Professional.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In P6 Web, define a new Portfolio using the By filter option, and assign a Responsible Manager.
  2. In P6 Professional, create a new project and assign the same Responsible Manager as in Step 1.
  3. Click Open Projects a select the portfolio.
  4. Check the Projects list and note that the new project is not on the list.
