(Doc ID 2998638.1)
Last updated on JANUARY 22, 2024
Applies to:
OCI Compute - Version N/A and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Oracle Linux 6.x VM Instance is inaccessible via SSH or Console Connection after changing the NIC Attachment Type from VFIO to Paravirtualized. For more information, see: Editing the Launch Options for an Instance.
Changes
There are prerequisites before making this change to any OCI Instance. For more information, see: Limitations and Considerations.
Some instances might not function properly if you change the networking type or the boot volume attachment type. This happens due to shape and image compatibility and driver support. After the instance reboots and is running, connect to it. If the connection fails or the OS doesn't behave as expected, the changes are not supported.
