Purpose

Redwood is the new user experience in Oracle HCM applications. Many pages and flows have been recreated in the Redwood toolset Visual Builder Studio (VBS) to improve the user experience by creating cohesiveness through the application.
For more information on extending Redwood pages in HCM, refer to this feature announcement on the Oracle Help Center.

Prior to using the helper tool, refer to following documentation to learn about Visual Builder:

This document provides details about the tool that can be used to analyze existing personalizations to Responsive flows, and migrate them to their corresponding Redwood User Experience pages.

Note: You are still required to use VB studio to review business rules migrated by the tool, and make additional personalizations as necessary, so a thorough understanding of VB studio features is necessary before using the tool to migrate.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1.
This version of the tool is for use only against Oracle Fusion HCM 24C *IF:
    A) You select Mode as Report Only with Include Flexfields checked. The tool connects to your HCM environment to fetch flexfields metadata.
    B) You select Mode as Migrate and Report with or without Include Flexfields checked. The tool generates VB studio workspace that should be imported to your HCM environment's VB studio.

2. If you plan to use the tool only with Report Only mode without Include Flexfields checked, it will successfully process the ADF personalization file even it was downloaded prior to updating HCM environment to 24C.

3.
If you are looking for User Guides for previous versions of the HCM Redwood Personalization Helper Tool, refer to Section 9 below.
