Symptoms

You are creating an Oracle Database Connection from OAC to an On Premises Database. OAC is configured with a Private Access Channel (PAC).

When creating the connection, the following error appears:

The Network Path Analyzer was checked from OAC IP address to the on prem database and there are no issues.

You have also performed troubleshooting on a compute instance by following steps in the article: Troubleshoot connectivity to an on-premises Oracle Database and there appears to be no issues connecting to the database host. Initially, you cannot connect to the database using SQL*Plus from the compute instance. By experimenting with changing the MTU value on the compute instance host, you find you are able to connect to the database using SQL*Plus.
