The assignment assistant is placing the activity in a position that results in more overtime than if it were placed in another available position. E.g. in a given situation, the most optimal route sequence would have arrivals only 295 minutes total minutes past the time slots of the last 4 activities on the route, and the remaining activities prior to that would have all had an ETA within the service window. The assignment assistant suggested route sequence would have resulted in arrivals 580 minutes total past the time slots, for the last 5 activities on the route, but it did have lower late arrival minutes for the job being assigned (10 minutes late instead of 110 minutes late).
