Symptoms
In OTBI Publisher, you have the option to create a data set, using an Analysis as a source of a Data Model.
This functionality is described in detail here : Create a Dataset Using an Analysis
After 24A Update and Console Conversion, users are not able to run Publisher Reports built using an OTBI Analysis, create Data Models based on OTBI Analysis OR edit the existing ones.
Steps
Running Existing Reports
- Login to Fusion Cloud Service
- Navigate to Tools > Report & Analytics
- Click on Browse Catalog
- Run Publisher Report built using an OTBI Analysis
- Following error is thrown
Error
"Create Exception: Saw Session is null or invalid. Unable to create saw session."
Editing Existing Data Models
- Login to Fusion Cloud Service
- Navigate to Tools > Report & Analytics
- Click on Browse Catalog
- Navigate to the Data Model that is built using an OTBI Analysis
- Edit the Data Model
- Following error is thrown
Error
"oracle.xdo.XDOException: Saw Session is null or invalid. Unable to create saw session."
Creating New Data Models
- Login to Fusion Cloud Service
- Navigate to Tools > Report & Analytics
- Click on Browse Catalog
- Click on Create button to create a new Data Model
- Click on Plus Icon under Data Sets and select Analysis
- In the Analysis Data Set Dialog Box, Click on the Magnifying Glass Icon
- You are unable to see the desired Analysis and the folder structure
- This prevents the creation of the Data Set
