Bulk Uploading Assets Occasionally Fails With HTTP 409 Conflict Error (Doc ID 3004324.1)

Goal

When bulk uploading digital assets that have a taxonomy in the payload, the upload will fail and return an HTTP status code of 409. It says, "Failed to lock taxonomy {TAXONOMYID} for Taxonomy asset categorization." This has happened randomly and re-queuing the upload goes through without any issue.

Why is this occurring and how we can prevent this in the future?
