Issue with adf.error.warn

Have a script on Opportunity Revenue Sale Type field trigger where it is being used adf.error.warn(null) to throw warning message.
When the warning message displays the custom field value goes to null and this should not happen .

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. have a script on Opportunity Revenue Sale Type field trigger where we use adf.error.warn(null) to throw warning message.
2.When the warning message displays the custom FCL field value goes to null and this should not happen
