24A : ESS Job (BIP) Ends in Error - Response had end of stream after 0 bytes - Output Report File Not Delivered to Content Server (Doc ID 3009038.1)

Symptoms

Actual Behavior
When running ESS Job which will generate BI Publisher (BIP) Report output and deliver to Content Server (UCM / Oracle WebCenter Content Server), it ends in error.

Error
Could not establish connection. java.io.EOFException: Response had end of stream after 0 bytes

FACT
1.Issue started to occur after Quarterly Update : 24A
2.From Tools > Reports and Analytics > Browse Catalog > My Profile > Administration > Manage Publisher > Content Server (under Delivery) the FA_UCM_PROVISIONED URI starts with https while other custom connection(s) starts with http.
3.The same error occurs with the "Test Connection" within Reports and Analytics > Administration > Manage Publisher > Content Server (under Delivery) > Select Server Name other then FA_UCM_PROVISIONED.



Steps

Case 1 : Run BIP Report from Tools > Scheduled Process

  1. Go to Tools > Scheduled Process and press Schedule New Process
  2. Search ESS Job
  3. Click Advanced > Output
  4. Click + icon
  5. Select field and click Add Destination > Content Server
  6. Set the Server other then FA_UCM_PROVISIONED and Security Group and Submit

Case 2 : Run BIP Report from Scheduled Report Job

  1. Go to Tools > Reports and Analytics > Browse Catalog > Check Report and press More > Schedule
  2. Press Output tab
  3. Destination Type : Content Server > Add Destination
  4. Set the Server other then FA_UCM_PROVISIONED
  5. Click Submit
