FDIP: SME Step Fails With 'Exception: com.oracle.faw.customzn.common.exception.CustomznAppException: SubjectArea: "XXXX - YYYY " Doesn't Exist' Error (Doc ID 3011505.1)

Symptoms

Semantic Model Extension(SME) step is failing everyday post daily refresh or apply system steps. 
SME steps error out complaining that the custom subject area does not exist. However, the custom subject area exists and the step is applied correctly.

On opening the failed step's last page where subject area has to be selected, SME unchecks the subject area everyday at the time of refresh and hence the step fails.

Below error is  seen as part of the Apply System Steps that runs during refresh.
