Frozen Screen After Restarting A Suspended Activity

Symptoms
When suspending and restarting an activity, the activity detail page showed nothing but the workflow bar. Also, the page got frozen. User needs to clean up the cache and re-login again to continue work on the activity. The issue is encountered with both non-segmented and segmented activities.
STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Suspend/restart activity from a custom plugin
2. Page is frozen

The issue has the following business impact:
The activity detail page got frozen. User cannot continue working on the activity unless he cleans up the cache and re-login again.
