Symptoms


Trying to Install Management Gateway with response file as described

Case 1

If we give do not give GatewayCertCommonName ,we get following error

Could not resolve hostname in the installation environment. Resolve the hostname or provide the GatewayCertCommonName in the response file and rerun the gateway setup script.
Hostname is not resolved in the installation environment.
Validation of response file failed. Fix the issue and rerun the gateway setup script

Case 2

If we give GatewayCertCommonName=<HostName>

[User@Host_Name]$ sudo /opt/oracle/mgmt_agent/agent_inst/bin/setupGateway.sh opts=/opt/oracle/downloads/Filename-key.rsp
Validating response file
Validating certificate properties
Validating GatewayCertCommonName
GatewayCertCommonName <Name> provided is not a FQDN. Provide a valid GatewayCertCommonName in the response file and rerun the gateway setup script.
GatewayCertCommonName is not valid
Validation of response file failed. Fix the issue and rerun the gateway setup script.
