Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Some special characters are encoded in the JSON responses from API calls.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Expect the API call response shows the same character values as it displays in OPC Application web page.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Using REST API Tool to get data from from OPC application. Eg: GET  https://<OPCURL>/api/restapi/workspace
  2. From OPC application, a workspace with description field entered with value 'test/1/&2'.
  3. Above API call gets response content with the value showing as 'test/1/&amp;2'.
