Fusion Global HR: Data Security Policies (DSPs) Are Not Imported Successfully via an Implementation Project / Configuration Package (Doc ID 3026818.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to migrate custom roles from one environment to another using an implementation project:

 

Steps taken to reproduce issue

1. Create a copy of a a seeded role:
    a. Tools > Security Console
    b. Search for a seeded role
    c. Actions > Copy Role
    d. Enter a custom Role Name and Role Code
    e. Click Next
    f. Navigate to the Summary page, and click Submit

2. Create an Implementation Project:
    a. Setup and Maintenance
    b. Expand the Tasks widget and click Manage Implementation Projects
    c. Click the + button to create an Implementation Project
    d. Provide a Name and Code
    e. Click Save and Open Project
    f. In the Task Lists and Tasks section, click the + button
    g. Change the Search field's value from Offerings to Tasks
    h. Search for and select both tasks Manage Job Roles and Manage Data Security Policies
    i. Click Done

3. Create and export a Configuration Package:
    a. Setup and Maintenance
    b. Expand the Tasks widget and click Manage Configuration Packages
    c. Click the + button to create a new Configuration Package
    d. In the Name field, select your Implementation Project
    e. In the pop-up window, select Yes
    f. Click Next
    g. Select/highlight the Application Data Security Policy object, and change it's Import Sequence to something higher than the Custom Role objects (e.g. 400)
    h. Select/highlight the Functional Security Custom Roles object
    i. In the Functional Security Custom Roles section below, click the + button
    j. Search for and select the custom role(s) you wish to export
    k. Click Apply > Save and Close
    l. In the pop-up, click OK
    m. Click Submit
    n. In the Export and Import Processes section, click the refresh button until the Status reflects "Completed successfully"
    o. In the Download column, save the .zip file locally

4. Import the Configuration Package into the target Environment:
    a. Setup and Maintenance
    b. Expand the Tasks widget and click Manage Configuration Packages
    c. Click the Upload button
    d. Select the .zip file from your local machine
    e. Click the Get Details button
    f.  Once the Configuration Package Details load, click Submit

    g. In the Export and Import Processes section, click select/highlight the imported package
    h. Click the Import Setup Data button
    i. Wait until the Status column reflects "Completed Successfully"
    
    j. Tools > Security Console
    k. Search for and select the newly imported role(s)
    l. Actions > Edit Role
    m. Go to the Data Security Policies train stop, and notice that the DSPs have NOT been migrated
