Goal
When creating a private DNS zone on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and adding an A record with the private IP of the server hosting a website, the domain name is accessible within the Oracle VCN network. However, after establishing a site-to-site VPN to the OCI tenancy, there is a need to access the domain name (A record in the Private DNS Zone) from the on-premises environment via the VPN.
