Symptoms

In an environment where multiple users login to a shared Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) ORACLE_HOME but using their own linux user id, the login to ODI Studio works, but an error is seen.

Also, attempting to change the "log" directory using "ODI Studio - Preferences" does not work and is simply disregarded.

If the logged-in Operating System (OS) user is different from the user who owns the ODI ORACLE_HOME, the following error may be seen:

 

How can ODI Studio logging be configured to work when the ORACLE_HOME is accessed by multiple users with unique Operating System (OS) accounts and logins?
