Symptoms

 

Application job failed due to below errors. Adding space to tablespace did not resolve the issue.

ORA-01653: unable to extend table TRIMS.SCREENING_DETAILS_HIST by 4849947 in tablespace TRM2TBS1
ORA-01691: unable to extend lob segment TRIMS.SYS_LOB0006283204C00016$$ by 4849947 in tablespace TRM2TBS1

The above error reported that the system was requesting 4849947 blocks.

The block_size is of the tablespace is 8k. 4849947x8=39GB.

There are enough (i.e 500GB) free space allocated to this tablespace, why the app job still getting the error?
