Goal

Using FTP service in (Sales cloud) under publisher tab. With this we will transfer files to our vendor ADP.

Vendor ADP is removing old cipher and MAC by end of this month. Support and week ciphers will be mentioned as detailed below.

Check and confirm if cloud service support new ciphers and if not what action is required here?

========
As part of an initiative to improve security with respect to emerging digital threats and safekeeping of data passing through the Managed File Transfer (MFT) system, we will be removing outdated cipher and message authentication code (MAC) suites from the MFT infrastructure by August 31, 2024.

This update is applicable to all clients who have file transmissions using filetransfer1 and filetransfer2 over the SFTP protocol.

ACTION REQUIRED

Ciphers are included with the tools that are used by organizations to connect to Client MFT services over the SFTP protocol. In most cases, new ciphers should already be supported unless the tool in use is on a very old version. If the cipher is outdated, please work with your respective vendor to update to a newer version.

Cipher and MAC suites to be removed by August 31, 2024:

• aes256-cbc
• aes192-cbc
• aes128-cbc
• hmac-sha1

Below are the new ciphers which will be supported post the removal of the weaker ones:

• aes128-ctr
• aes192-ctr
• aes256-ctr

As vendor is changing it's cipher , We need confirmation from oracle cloud ftp protocals supports below cipher and MAC changes
