Slow Performance When Opening Large Projects in PVD (Doc ID 3050711.1)

Symptoms

Considerable slowness when opening large projects in the P6 Professional application on PVD versus the P6 Professional Cloud Connect application.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When opening a project in P6 PVD, it takes a long time to load.  For example, when opening a large project with approximately 23k activities in PVD, it takes 1m39s to load.
When opening the same project in P6 Professional Cloud Connect, it takes 49s to load.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

When opening a project, the activities should load in under a minute and similar timings should be seen between P6 PVD and P6 Professional Cloud Connect.
