Symptoms

A Product Hierarchy file was successfully loaded ad-hoc into AI Foundation (AIF). But when the Import Hierarchy process was run in OAT, it failed with the error:

Validating dimension. Multiple parents found. Exiting

It was found that the multiple parent error is due to old items (items that are not in the Product Hierarchy file loaded).

Using the query:

With this parameter set to N, items that are not in the Product Hierarchy file should not have been sent to the Planning Data Schema (PDS) table.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Ad-hoc load Product Hierarchy file into AIF
2. See that all the tasks complete successfully.
3. Confirm that for scenario_name SIL_ITEMDIMENSION param_name IS_INCEREMENTAL param_value=N
4. Run the Import Hierarchy task in OAT
5. See that it fails with the multiple parent errors.
