Date Search In "Stock Ledger Download" Finds By String Instead Of Date (Doc ID 3051452.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 07, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service - Version 24.0 to 24.1 [Release 24.0 to 24.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When searching in the End Of Period field in the Stock Ledger download field in MFCS, the Search is not applying filters correctly.

It is using the data as text and only filtering on the first 2 characters of the date. It is not filtering the data as if it were dates.

  1. Tasks> Finance
  2. Download Stock Ledger
  3. Select a Dept
  4. Select View: Weeks or View: Days
  5. Click on drop-down for End of Period
  6. Click Search
  7. Sort the data with the ^ and v arrows in the upper right of the grid.
  8. Click Advanced.
  9. Choose "Greater Than" and "01-Jan-20204"
  10. Click Search

Expected Results:
In 7, dates should sort from oldest to newest.
In 10, only dates greater than 01-Jan-2024 should show.

Actual Results:
In 7, dates sort as strings, so 01-Apr-2024 comes before 01-Jan-2023
In 10, character strings greater than 01-Jan-2024 show, so 01-Apr-2024 does not show but 01-Mar-2023 shows.
