Symptoms

When attempting to update a Manager using the HCM REST API Workers endpoint via the PATCH method, the following error occurs.

Applying List binding LOV_ManagerAssignmentNumber with given set of values leads to no matching row for a row of type :BaseWorkerAssignmentDEO_AssignmentSupervisor_AssignmentVOToManagerVO_ManagerVO, key oracle.jbo.Key[1476011 2024-07-02 4712-12-31 ].

where both the employee and Line Manager are both future-dated new hires and the header includes the Range Start Date in the future

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Attempt to update a Manager record for an employee using the HCM REST API Workers endpoint via the PATCH method where the the employee and manager are both future-dated new hires and the header includes the Range Start Date in the future
  2. Encounter the error message above
