OTM/GTM Screenset Extract Changing Number Column Values into Character Values

Symptoms
OTM / GTM Customer observed the below case on data extraction from Screenset/Finder Result :
- When exporting data from Screenset/Finder Set result page, the NUMBER valued columns values are changed into CHARACTERS
- Extract is getting downloaded as .xlsx format
- Number fields have been formatted and displayed with an prompt - "The number in this cell is formatted as text or preceded by an apostrophe" as per Excel property
- Double clicking on the cells will correct it
- When exported data from SQL Servlet, there is no problem. This is getting downloaded as .xls format
