AFCS Guidance Required On Segment Mapping For Custom Dimensions (Doc ID 3052542.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 17, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Accounting Foundation Cloud Service - Version NA and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Customer needs clarification on the configurations required for Segment Mapping and Balance Ingestion from ERP to AFCS, specifically regarding how to handle Custom Dimensions that correspond to CoA flex fields, such as mapping "Local Inter Company" to CoA Segment 1. It’s unclear where this data will be stored in the Accounting Foundation, and the GL Data and Management Ledger tables are not visible in the Catalog Extension to add the necessary code columns for these dimensions. Additionally, customer needs to determine if data model extensions are necessary or if the custom columns are automatically added to the underlying tables upon saving the CoA segment mapping.
