Fusion Global HR: Oracle Search - Automatic Ingestion Process after Upgrade Information
(Doc ID 3053732.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 16, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Fusion Global Human Resources Cloud Service - Version 11.13.24.10.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Details
Starting with 24D onward the ESS job to create index definition and perform initial ingest to OSCS process will be automatically run for all in use indexes after Quarterly Upgrades.
The auto-ingest job checks if Oracle search is enabled, and identifies indexes already created and present in OSCS, and if the index metadata version in DB is newer than the index metadata version used for the index already in OSCS. For such indexes, the job performs initial ingestion automatically.
Actions
This is implemented automatically for all customers after upgrades, no additional action is required. Please note that some indexes may not be shown in the ingestion log as it may not have been needed to be ingested after the upgrade.
Note: If the Ingestion Job is submitted manually while the auto-ingest job is still running, then it’s likely the two jobs are processing the same index at the same time, resulting in incomplete data in the index. If this situation arises, then the immediate remedy is for to confirm the auto-ingest job and manual ingest jobs are completed, then submit manual ingestion for the impacted index.
The ACL processes will still need to be run/scheduled as required. Please refer to the quarterly release instructions for the required ACL processes:
