Unable To Create Test For Old Legacy JSON Action Chains (Doc ID 3054238.1)

Goal

A Visual Application has old-style JSON action chains and when entering the "Test" tab of any of those action chains the following error is reported

JSON action chains are deprecated
We don't support new tests for JSON action chains. In fact, you should create all your new action chains in JavaScript.

and there seems not to be a way to test the action chain.

How to create tests for such action chains?
