"Duplicate data element name for Code" Error Importing a Configuration Package into Production

Symptoms
When importing a Configuration Package from Stage environment to Production, the error below occurs. There is no Data Element (DE) named "Code" in the Production environment.
ERROR
Duplicate data element name for Code. Data element names must be case insensitive unique constraint.
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Create the Configuration Package in Stage environment that includes a Business Process (BP) that has a DE named "Code".
- Export that Configuration Package from Stage.
- Log in to Production Environment.
- Navigate to Company Workspace > Admin Mode > Configuration Package Management > Configuration Packages.
- Click on Import and follow the steps to import the Configuration Package exported from the Stage environment.
- Receive the error.
