(Doc ID 3061342.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 20, 2025
Applies to:
Oracle Retail Enterprise Inventory Cloud Service - Version 24.1 to 25.0 [Release 24.1 to 25.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
You noticed that when changing the language to Spanish, the decimal point separator automatically changes to a comma, which is incorrect. This is causing problems in the inventory adjustment flow. When the user enters the amount to adjust with a decimal point, for example 50.5, the portal does not recognize the decimal point and omits it. For this reason, instead of adjusting 50.1 KG, it actually adjusted 501 Kg.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to EICS.
2. Set the language to English.
3. Perform an item query to confirm how the decimal separator is displayed. Item = 100053193 / SOH = 491.5
4. Perform an inventory adjustment -10.1
5. The adjustment is done correctly, new SOH = 481.4
Above works fine, move onto error scenario.
6. Change the language to Spanish
7. Consult the same item 100053193
8. Validate the decimal separator, and the SOH that is shown with a comma is 481,4
9. Perform an inventory adjustment + 10.1
10. The portal automatically omits the decimal separator (dot) and sends the adjustment +101
11. If the user does not identify the above and the adjustment is finished, the new SOH = 582,4
BUSINESS IMPACT
