Symptoms
When adding a sub-transaction level item to an existing tran-level item using item induction, if the standard UOM is not included on the item induction template AND the tran-level item standard UOM is not EAches, induction fails with the error 'Standard UOM'... 'Field cannot be modified'.
This happens regardless of whether or not the tran-level item's ITEM_MASTER.STANDARD_UOM is the same as the SYSTEM_OPTIONS.DEFAULT_STANDARD_UOM.
Expected result: a sub-tran level item's standard UOM cannot differ from its parent so should default to the sub-tran level tem on item induction, along with the uom_conv_factor.
Impact: inconsistency of data required to create new sub-tran level items using item induction templates.
Steps:
-------
1. Add row on Item_Master tab to create a new sub-transaction level item for an existing approved tran-level item that has a standard UOM other than EAches. Include only the following:
Action = 'Create'
Item Number Type = 'EAN/UCC-13'
Parent Item = <tran-level item number>
Item Grandparent = <tran-level parent item if exists>
Item Level = <tran-level item level -1>
Tran Level = <tran-level item tran level>
Dept/Class/Subclass = <tran-level item dept/class/subclass>
Status = 'Approved'
Item Description = <as required>
Primary Ref Item = 'No'
Cost Zone Group = <tran-level item cost zone group>
Standard UOM = <blank>
Inventory Ind = <tran_level item inventory_ind>
Original Reference No = <a random integer>
2. Save the induction template.
3. Using the Upload Items From File screen, upload the template.
4. Check the Data Loading Review Status screen for success/failure of the upload. Check the View Issues screen to see the details of the upload error.
