RDFCS: Why Is Seasonality Level Override Value Not Always Propogated to System Seasonality Level Picked Measure After Forecast Batch? (Doc ID 3063778.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 17, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting Cloud Service - Version NA and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When setting the Seasonality Level Override, then running the batch, the expectation is that System Seasonality Level Picked will get the same value. Why is the reason for when System Seasonality Level Picked value does not match Seasonality Level Override?

1. Set Seasonality Level Override in Forecast Setup (Seasonality Escalation Path Override worksheet).
2. Validate that Escalation Mask is True.
3. Validate that there are values in Adjusted Curve (Estimation Review).
4. Run nightly batch.
RESULTS: The System Seasonality Level Picked value in Forecast Review (3. What-if Parameters) is not the same as the value set for Seasonality level Override.
