ENH REQ: Need CFA Relationship Check If The Parent Item Is In Approved Status (Doc ID 3063904.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 17, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service - Version 24.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

DESCRIBE HOW THE CURRENT PRODUCT FUNCTIONALITY IS INSUFFICIENT
==============================================================
Customer wants to implement the below rules while creating and approving the item.

1.Based on the CFA relationship check the parent item is in Approved status --
 (Style is created as regular item and capture the same item in CFA for other item,
 before item 2 approval ensure item input in the CFA exists in the status with status Approved).
2.Validate that Item description does not have any special characters from the list
 (Item description should not contain a specific list of special characters and should be configurable the list).

Current feature allows custom rule to be setup for field containing the description/character dataset,
however there is no feature to perform validation on such fields e.g. business process mandates comma(,)
should not be part of product description,  this can be achieved via custom rule setup but lack the required logic to perform validation.

PROVIDE A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE ENHANCEMENT REQUEST
=========================================================
Custom rule setup needs to be modified to include the feature to perform character dataset validation.
For the above mentioned example, feature like "LIKE" can be included to perform the validation with "%Pattern%"  to validate any specific pattern in description field.

DESCRIBE HOW THIS ENHANCEMENT WILL BENEFIT YOUR BUSINESS
========================================================
Business will benefit as they don't have to build additional logic in the integration layer to handle special characters in the description field.
This will reduce customization and help business to perform configuration with ease to include additional validation.
