Symptoms

SVC_FIF_GL_ACCT has lower max length than FIF_GL_ACCT for PRIMARY_ACCOUNT field

According to Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service Data Model 24.0.201.0:

The table SVC_FIF_GL_ACCT - This is a staging table used for Admin API spreadsheet upload process. It is used to temporarily hold data before it is uploaded/updated in FIF_GL_ACCT table - has PRIMARY_ACCOUNT length of 15,0

The table FIF_GL_ACCT shows the max length for PRIMARY_ACCOUNT as 18 digits.

 

Steps to Reproduce:

Attempt to upload a General Ledger Accounts insert containing PRIMARY_ACCOUNT with a length of 16-18 digits - Error - Numeric or value error. Please check field length and data type.

Business Impact:
-------------------
Cannot insert General Ledger Accounts with PRIMARY_ACCOUNT of 16 digits via spreadsheet upload.
