Getting Validating Interface Errors While Trying to Patch MFP in Order to Build AP with a Customized Conifg (Doc ID 3067456.1)

Symptoms

It is necessary to rebuild the Assortment Planning (AP) User interface (UI). We first unregister the application and then run the build application; while doing the build we encounter this error:

Error
10:39:03 : ERROR : appDeploy.sh[116] - Detected failure in previous 'unregister' operation. Please check and correct the issue before attempting additional App Deploy.

Steps
1. Login to the application
2. Run Administration>Online Admin Tools>Submit New Admin Task>Build Application
3. See that the process fails with the given error
