Last updated on JANUARY 27, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service - Version 19.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

============================================================
DESCRIBE HOW THE CURRENT PRODUCT FUNCTIONALITY IS INSUFFICIENT
==============================================================
Current Product functionality is calculating the Total Cost for Tran Code 29 in 2 steps.
Step 1 - Total Expense Value = Expense % * AV_COST of sending location
Step 2 - Total Cost for Tran Code 29 = Total Profit Value * Units

This process is doing decimal place adjustment upto 4 digit in both steps.

PROVIDE A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE ENHANCEMENT REQUEST
=========================================================
We have discrepancy in total Upcharge Amount in Upcharge process (refer doc 2690095.1) i.e. tran code 29.
Below is existing logic -
Code was modified to move the conversion and rounding of total upcharges and total expenses at the final financial amount to be posted.

The new sample computation for the Tran Codes 28/29 would be as follows:
Total Profit Value = Drawback % * AV_COST of sending location
Total Cost for Tran Code 28 = Total Profit Value * Units
Total Expense Value = Expense % * AV_COST of sending location
Total Cost for Tran Code 29 = Total Profit Value * Units

New Change Request -
Suppose we want to calculate directly Total Expense Value for Tran Code 29 in single steps like = Expense % * AV_COST of sending location * Units.
As this process is a one step process, so the discrepancy will be less or near to the value calculated by Business own Legacy Application.So, needs the change.

Can this be achieved for the business in non_prod first and then in Prod eventually after business Testing and is there implications due to this to other Oracle base process/functionality ?

DESCRIBE HOW THIS ENHANCEMENT WILL BENEFIT YOUR BUSINESS
========================================================

This new change will align with Business own Legacy Application and they will use this new enhanced functionality as the current is having some discrepancy in total Upcharge amount.
