Enhancement Request - A New API To Interface Inventory Adjustment Down To External Systems (Doc ID 3069150.1)

Last updated on MARCH 17, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service - Version 24.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle MFCS does not provide a dedicated web service, such as a GET API endpoint, to directly retrieve inventory adjustment information.
This limitation means there is no built-in functionality to interface inventory adjustment down to SIM or WMS applications.

Client is using it for several scenarios. Examples:
• Fire, Flood, Theft write off: where there is bulk damages/thefts in a store, that requires mass write off of stock on hand, a central inventory adjustment would be processed on behalf of the store due to time and effort resource constraints
• Where there is a large miss pick/lost cage from WH to store shipment: after investigation by DC, a mass inventory adjustment may be processed centrally to correct the store stock on hand and post that as shrinkage to the WH
• Any Other mass stock balance updated required on behalf of a store

ER is required to develop a new API to interface inventory adjustment down to external systems.
