Wrong Total Float Calculation In Filter (Doc ID 3072181.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 14, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Primavera Cloud Service - Version 24.9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR:
Wrong total float calculation when using filter and duration in days.

Example:
Using the filter (Total Float - is less than or equal to - 33d), results in OPC showing activities that have 11d Total Float or less. Every time the Total Float should be multiplied with a factor 3 in the filter.
It is only the case when duration is in days. When duration is in hours, there is no issue. Total Float is correctly calculated for the activities.

These activities have the calendar 7d/24h assigned. When assigning the calendar 5d/8h, there is no issue.
So it seems that the multiplication of factor 3 in the filter is caused by the calculation of the hours per day (8 vs 24).
It happens for every project and for every user.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
In the example, the filter results should show all activities that have a Total Float <= 33d.

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log into OPC.
2. Open project.
3. Run Schedule Health Score report and view Activities.
