Symptoms
In Clearance Management - Add next markdown - when using a Markdown, with a code (CODE_DETAIL) that is more than 2 digits, there is an error - value for markdown exceeds the maximum length allowed - even though in the CODE_DETAIL table CODE has data type VARCHAR2 and length 6
The Markdown attribute in Clearances has inconsistent validation depending on the workflow used to create/update the clearance.
When the setup for code detail that supports the markdown attribute has been customized, and the codes are 3 and 4 characters in length, still numeric.
The following workflows accept 3 or more character codes without any issue:
- Create clearance markdown, update clearance markdown, create clearance reset, update clearance reset, add reset, reset item, quick create, spreadsheet upload.
The only workflow that does not accept 3 or more character codes for the markdown number:
- Add Next Markdown
