Symptoms
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
EICS Item Lookup via Search Mode: ITEM will not find results for non-ranged item when a user is trying to base their search on either the full or partial description of an item.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Regardless of an item being ranged or not ranged to the store being searched, the search should be able to find item search matches based solely on either the full description of the item or any valid partial description of that item as long as the search results do not exceed the Search Limit.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Sign into EICS
2. Change stores to to Store B (The store which is known NOT to be ranged for the target search item)
3. NAVIGATE TO LOOKUP > ITEM LOOKUP
4. Input Search Parameters as listed
Search Mode: ITEM
Item Status: Null (i.e. Remove any existing default Item Status search value, thus indicating results should be returned regardless of the presence of a status, and regardless of whether the item is ranged at all to the current store)
Item: Null
Department: Null
Class: Null
Sub-Class: Null
Brand Deccription: Null
Search Limit: default setting or 999 (Max)
Item Description: Provide either the full description or a partial description of your test item.
5. Click SEARCH
