Purchase Requisition Cannot Be Advanced To Purchase Order When a Referenced Work Acitivy Is in FINISHED Status (Doc ID 3077863.1)

Last updated on MARCH 25, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Cloud Service - Version 24A and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Purchase Requisition cannot be advanced to a Purchase Order when the Work Activity that is referenced by the Purchase Requisition is in “Finished” status.

In the scenario below, we can't convert a Purchase Requisition to a Purchase Order, when:
1. Work Activity is in Active status,
2. Purchase Requisition is created directly from Purchase Requisition window referencing the Work Activity number,
3. Storeroom purchases the items using the information from the Purchase Requisition,
4. The Items are used to finish the work,
5. The Work Activity status is set to FINISHED,
6. A few days after the Work Activity is finished, the Storeroom attempts to process the paperwork for the purchase,
7. The System prevents the Purchase Request from being turned into a Purchase Order because the Work Activity has the status set to "Finished."
