Symptoms

When trying to drop an index in an InnoDB table in which the index is tied to a FOREIGN KEY in another InnoDB table, you may receive the following error message:

ALTER TABLE table1 DROP INDEX index1;

ERROR 1025 (HY000): Error on rename of ... to ... (errno: 150)
