Symptoms

You are running a job through dbms_job which uses a database link

--OR--

You are using PL/SQL (trigger, procedure, package) on Database A
which updates a table on Database B.

and receive the following errors:

ORA-12012: error on auto execute of job
Cause: Some kind of error was caught while doing an automatic
execute of a job.
Action: Look at the accompanying errors for details on why the
execute failed.

ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
Cause: An invalid username or password was entered in an
attempt to log on to Oracle.
Action: Enter a valid username and password combination in the
correct format.

ORA-02063: preceding from
Cause: An Oracle error message was received from a remote
database link.
Action: Refer to the preceding messages. Correct the problem
mentioned in the preceding messages and try the
operation again.

The job runs manually but not automatically.
