CLUVFY Reports "Default user file creation mask check failed" (Doc ID 1051783.1)

Symptoms


After successful 11gR2 Grid Infrastructure clusterware (CRS) installation or upgrade, INS-20802 reported while running Oracle Cluster Verification Utility (aka CVU) post check, installation logs located in $ORACLE_BASE/oraInventory/logs/installActions{$TIMESTAMP}.log shows similar entries like following:


Check default user file creation mask
Node Name     Available                 Required                  Comment
------------  ------------------------  ------------------------  ----------
node1    unknown                   0022                      failed  
node2    0022                      0022                      passed  
Result: Default user file creation mask check failed


In later CVU version, PRVF-7612 will be reported for umask related messages
