Last updated on DECEMBER 01, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Audit Vault - Version 10.2.3.0 to 10.2.3.0 [Release 10.2]
Microsoft Windows (32-bit)
Checked for relevance on 24-Nov-2011

Symptoms

While installing the Audit Vault Agent version 10.2.3.0 on Windows the Universal Installer reports the following error:

SEVERE: OUI-25031:Some of the configuration assistants failed. It is strongly recommended that you retry the configuration assistants at this time. Not successfully running any "Recommended" assistants means your system will not be correctly configured.

One of the configuration assistants fails with the following symptoms in the installActions<timestamp>.log:

INFO: Starting to execute configuration assistants
INFO: Command = oracle.av.common.AvcaCfgPlugIn C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd /c call C:\app\hnapel\product\10.2.3\av_agent_1/bin/avca.bat -s initialize_agent -agentname remote_agent -agentusr ${s_agentusr} -agentport 7000 -av nldelldv1.nl.oracle.com:1524:av.nl.oracle.com -rmiport 3101 -jmsport 3201

Command = oracle.av.common.AvcaCfgPlugIn has failed

INFO: Configuration assistant "Oracle Audit Vault Configuration Assistant" failed

When you retry the same command listed in the file configToolFailedCommands from the CMD command line you get the following error:

C:\Documents and Settings\hnapel>C:\app\hnapel\product\10.2.3\av_agent_1/bin/avca.bat -s initialize_agent -agentname remote_agent -agentusr avagentuser/avagentuser -agentport 7000 -av nldelldv1.nl.oracle.com:1524:av.nl.oracle.com -rmiport 3101 -jmsport 3201
