How to Clean-Up Entries in V$LOG_HISTORY, V$ARCHIVED_LOG (Doc ID 1060139.6)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

You would like to delete all entries for archived logs from the V$LOG_HISTORY dynamic performance table. You have deleted all associated archive logs from 
the LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST directory and now want to remove this information from the database itself.

Note that in Oracle8 the V$LOG_HISTORY view is replaced by V$ARCHIVED_LOG.
