Symptoms

 The database mounts, but will not open.  Open database fails with the following errors:

ORA-255 "error archiving log %s of thread %s, sequence # %s"
ORA-312 "online log %s thread %s: '%s'"
ORA-270 "error creating archive log %s"
ORA-334 "archived log: '%s'"
ORA-9200 "sfccf: error creating file"
OSD-4003(OS 38)
