ORA-07445: CORE DUMP [KPUBSUUC()+217] When Using Pro*C With Gateways

You see the following error message in the RDBMS alert log -

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kpubsuuc()+217] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x0] [PC:0x18FC217] [Address not mapped to object]

Failing call stack functions from the  trace file for the above ORA-7445 is -

kpubsuuc kpubndp kpubndp0 OCIBindByPos

This happens when data is fetched using Heterogenous Services , for example,  when a Pro*C program selects data using the Database Gateway to DB2.
