After having applied a patch in a RAC environment, which shared ORACLE_HOME between multiple RAC instances, the following error was reported:

Sun Mar 14 21:40:25 2010
WARNING: Oracle executable binary mismatch detected.
Binary of new process does not match binary which started instance
issue alter system set "_disable_image_check" = true to disable these messages

Sun Mar 14 21:41:27 2010
Trace dumping is performing id=[cdmp_20100314214127]
Errors in file /u01/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/test/test4/trace/test4_diag_7578.trc (incident=488325):
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [dbgtSplitCstString:1], [ve call], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []
