ORA-600 [17280] Error If Client Terminates Abnormally During Pipelinned Function Execution (Doc ID 1076533.1)

Symptoms

Client application sessions terminate abnormally and an ORA-600 [17280] error is reported in the alertlog.  The trace file for the ORA-600 [17280] will show the presence of module opidcl() on the call stack, which indicates that the client session has disconnected, e.g.:

Changes

PLSQL pipe-lined functions are being used in the application code.
