Symptoms

When installing "Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC) for Windows Installation Instructions 32-bit Release 11.1.0.7.20" using Instant Client to Windows Server 2008 SP2 (and SP1) 32bit, the following error
occurred:

"O/S Error in starting service OracleMTSRecoveryService"

press "Ignore" stop the installation.

Changes

This problem occurred during an ODAC installation which uses Instant Client.
