(Doc ID 1085861.1)

Last updated on JUNE 13, 2013

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Standard Edition - Version to [Release 11.1 to 11.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When running queries involving a CLOB column, a dump in memcpy() or memcmp() can be hit. Depending on the platform this could eg. be reported as:

Exception [type: ACCESS_VIOLATION, UNABLE_TO_READ] [ADDR:0xE270000]
[PC:0x675F2B9, __intel_fast_memcmp()+69]

The call stack would be similar to:

... memcmp kole_like kokle_like expepr evaiand expeal qertbFetch qerjotFetch ...

The problem seems to typically reproduce on the Windows platform only, however it appears to be generic
